Need a hand with Chore Check?
Chore Check is a parental-control app: a parent sets up chores and takes example photos, the child proves a chore is done with a photo or short video, and the app checks the match. Here's how to get help.

The app won't let me start monitoring.
Chore Check needs a few permissions turned on first: Camera, Usage Access, Display over other apps, and the VPN consent. Open the app's setup screen and make sure each one shows a check. You also need at least one chore turned on with its example photo taken.
A chore photo keeps getting rejected even though it's done.
Retake the parent's example photo in the same lighting and from the same angle you want the child to use. The clearer the example, the more accurately the app can judge a match.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose Chore Check, and tap Cancel. Chore Check keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.
I forgot the parent PIN.
For your child's safety the PIN is stored scrambled on the device and can't be looked up by anyone, including us. If you saved a recovery email address when you set the PIN, tap Forgot PIN? on the PIN screen — we'll email a 6-digit code to that address that lets you set a new PIN. The code expires after 15 minutes. If you never saved a recovery email, email us from the account that set up the app and we'll help you reset it. You can add or change the recovery email any time behind the PIN, under Recovery email.
